Life Policies may provide a death benefit from $50,000 to $5,000,000. Term insurance is life insurance coverage for a specific number of years, usually for 10, 20, or 30 year periods. The premium will be the same each month, quarter, or year for the period approved. Whole life policies.
Whole life policies will cover your entire life and also called permanent insurance. These policies are rated at your current age, normally paid up at some period of time you establish when you apply. Again, the premiums will be the same for the entire period approved.
Health Policies are available using the Healthcare Marketplace or individually outside the Marketplace. Be aware, health insurance through the Marketplace is guaranteed issue and may provide a premium tax credit based on your household annual income. Policies directly with the individual insurance companies are not guaranteed issue and underwriting is required. Additionally, you will not be eligible for any premium tax credit. Open enrollment for individual policies normally begin November 1st and end December 15th of each year, unless you qualify for a special enrollment period due to a life event occurring.
Dental and Vision policies are available and offer a limited amount of coverage and a limited number of participating dentist in the area. Policies have a monthly premium and the benefits provided are available for your review.
Disability, long term care, and annuities all have numerous policy options and an appointment will be necessary to go over your particular circumstances, since each type of policy deals with your application age.
Medicare insurance is available as a supplemental (also known as Medi-gap) policy, where a prescription drug policy will also be required. Both will have monthly premiums based on your age. You also have an option to forego the supplemental and drug policies by applying for a Medicare Advantage Plan. Most plans cover your medical and prescription needs, most without any monthly premium. We normally review your prescriptions and your medical providers to determine our recommendation, since we have a number of insurance companies we are able to offer.
